I have teamed up with the legendary David Sye to create the ultimate charity yoga event! Join us for an evening of fun creative workshops, the chance to social with likeminded people, great food and drinks, all whilst raising money for a worthy cause.

I will be starting the evening with a condensed version of my highly rated 'Make Yoga Fun Again' workshop. This is a playful practice with an emphasis on trying new things and most importantly having fun! We will explore:

    •    New entries to classic poses
    •    Unusual pose variations you may not of seen before
    •    A structured approach to creating your own poses! (Feel free to give them a random animal name!)

I will then hand over to the original bad boy of yoga, David Sye, to introduce us to YogaBeats!

What is YogaBeats?

Yogabeats™ has remained totally without rigid form or restrictions, experimental and spontaneous, just like jazz or any other free form art. It openly encourages the practitioner to deeply explore their own physical and psychological boundaries.

Yogabeats™ is more than just Yoga, it is pure fun, a practice driven by music and rhythms. Unapologetically sexy, empowering and provocative, leaving you higher than a kite and flying for the rest of the week.

"The emphasis is on fun not austerity, you can do as little or as much as you like. There is no competition or rigid rules, only paying attention to your feelings and open breathing are essential to the practice" – David Sye

I've been a few of David's YogaBeats workshops and have found his approach to be refreshing and inspiring. I'm so happy that I get to share YogaBeats with you all!

Supporting Palestinians in need

David is internationally known for his work with Palestinians in the West Bank which began in 2004, and was responsible for bringing together for the first time, both sides of this Middle East conflict for a Yoga class in 2006, “without which” as David says, ” a single politician or member of the U.N. was needed to be present. It was just pure humanity inspired by the ancient practice of Yoga. David’s YOGA BEATS CONFLICT fund was born in 2011, and the work continues today with further meetings between the Palestinians and Israelis, and the Yogabeats Foundation Teacher training project in Palestine, thanks to very generous donations from the public in the UK and abroad.

All profits from this event will be donated via Operation Olive Branch, a grassroots movement that aims to support and amplify aid requests of Palestinian families.

The Social

After the workshops you will have a rare chance to connect with your fellow yogis. Unlike at the average London studio class, the word 'Namaste' will not signal the start of a race to get out of the door! Instead we will head downstairs to our private prohibition style cocktail bar for post yoga refreshments, including Palestinian food and drinks made on site.

Food

Food will be provided by Mini Hiba, a Palestinian family business providing authentic Lebanese and Palestinian dishes.

Drinks

I have worked with Jim and Tonic for a few years, starting back when I ran Gin Yin events at Mercato Metropolitano. Not only do they have incredible drinks, I also love their passion for sustainability and eco practices. It's also nice to be at a venue where the bar staff actually care about the drinks they are serving and the customer experience. The knowledge that the money you spend here on drinks will be going to Palestinian families should make those post class G&T's taste even sweeter!

This is going to be an unforgettable event! I'm sure it will sell out, so get your tickets ASAP to avoid disappointment! As always, feel free to message me should you have any questions.

I hope to see you there!
